Climbing Mantella
The Climbing Mantella is one of several species of tiny, colourful frogs in the genus "Mantella", all native to Madagascar and under threat from habitat loss. Like Latin America's poison dart frogs, the bright colour warns predators that the frog is toxic. The Climbing Mantella, also called the Folohy Golden Frog, is native to northeast Madagascar and grows to 2-3cm long. It is mainly black with a bright yellow or light green back and blue patches on limbs and feet. Unusually for frogs, they are caring parents.
