The Golden Poison Dart Frog lives in the undergrowth of undisturbed subtropical rainforest in a small
remaining area of coastal Colombia.
This tiny, attractively-coloured amphibian is among the most dangerous animals on earth, with enough toxin
in its body to kill several people.
The mint green morph of the Golden Poison Frog - colour can vary from pale green to pale orange.
Size comparison with Blue Poison Frog.
Although small - it can reach 5cm long (head/body), it is the largest of the poison frogs.
The female frogs lay eggs on land and males carry tadpoles to ponds.
