The Indian Roofed Turtle or Terrapin is a freshwater terrapin native to rivers and waterbodies of Pakistan, Bangladesh
and northern India. It has a distinct "roof" structure along the back of its upper shell and black and red markings on its face and head,
with a striped neck.
Be careful who your friends are. (Indian Roofed Terrapin basking on Gharial.) The carapace is some 10cm long
for males and 15-25cm for females.
