The Brown Roofed Turtle or Terrapin is a freshwater terrapin native to rivers and waterbodies of Pakistan, Bangladesh,
Nepal and northern India. It has red markings on its cheek and black ears. When younger it has a keel or "roof" on the carapace.
Above they are shown swimming with and basking on a Gharial.
The carapace is some 10cm long for males and 15-25cm for females. The species is considered "near threatened".
