The Eastern Black-bridged Leaf Turtle is native to eastern Cambodia and Vietnam. It has radiating black lines on its red-brown shell (carapace) and grows up to 20cm long. It is sometimes considered as subspecies of the similar-looking Western Black-bridged Leaf Turtle, C. atripons, of southern Vietnam, s. Cambodia and s. Thailand.
Like most Asian turtles, it is in danger of extinction by over-collection for food, medicine and the pet trade.
