The Chinese Pond Turtle, also called Reeves' Pond Turtle, is a terrapin inhabiting ponds, marshes and streams of China
and Korea. Like other pond terrapins, it is semi-aquatic. It has a number of threats including habitat destruction and capture
for Chinese medicine, shell collection, pet trade and food.
It also hybridises readily with other terrapins, even of different genera including box turtles and feral American sliders.
