The Asian Leaf Turtle, also called the Brown Stream Terrapin, is native to Southeast Asia from India to Vietnam/Indonesia. It is one of the "yellow-bellied" group of cyclemys leaf turtles. Leaf turtles are named for the supposedly leaf-like or leaf-shaped carapace. The juvenile carapace has serated edges. It walks in streams more often than swims and the adults are more terrestrial than aquatic.
