Gold or Common Tegu Tupinambis teguixin

The Common Tegu is also called the Gold/Golden Tegu and the Colombian Black and White Tegu, although it is native not only to Colombia but to most countries of northern and central South America plus Panama and Trinidad. It is a large and intelligent lizard like monitor lizards in size and habits. They can grow to over a metre long (typically 60-100cm).
