Round Island Skink
The Round Island Skink, also called Telfair's Skink, is native to a few islands off Mauritius including Round Island. It nearly became extinct as humans introduced cats and rats which ate the skinks and their eggs while introduced goats and humans destroyed their vegetation and forests.
