European Glass Lizard Pseudopus (prev. Ophisaurus) apodus

The European Glass Lizard is a legless lizard like a Slowworm. It lives on arid, rocky hillsides of southeastern Europe through to Central Asia.

Like other lizards/slowworms, it can shed and regrow its tail; the shed tail is said to shatter like glass. Its main diet is slugs and snails. It can grow to a snake-like length of over 4 feet (130cm).
