The Green Keel-bellied Lizard is one of 4 keel-bellied lizards, all arboreal, native to equatorial Africa and with keeled scales
on their underside. The Green Keel-bellied is native to coastal woodlands of Kenya and Tanzania. It has a prehensile tail which is not voluntarily
dropped like some lizards when escaping predators.
The lizard grows to some 30-40cm length. It often has turquoise blue patches and has grey on the thighs. The tongue
is bright red.
