East African Spiny-tailed Lizard Cordylus tropidosternum

The East African Spiny-tailed Lizard, also called Dwarf Sungazer and Tropical Girdled Lizard, is native to dry forests and rocky habitats of East Africa from southern Kenya, through Tanzania to Zimbabwe and Mozambique. They climb well and can grow to some 18cm total length.

They can hide in tree or rock crevices with the spiny tail outermost.
