Rankin's Bearded Dragon, also called just Rankin's Dragon and the Pygmy Bearded Dragon, is
native to arid, rocky regions of Australia's Queensland.
Adults can reach 1 foot (30cm) long, about half the length of the better-known Inland Bearded Dragon.
Like other bearded dragon species, they use head bobbing, arm movements and colour changes to communicate and can raise the
spines under their chin (the "beard") as a threat display (both males and females).
