The Bearded Pygmy Chameleon is native to mountains of Kenya and northeastern Tanzania. It can vary its colouring slightly.
Being smaller and less colourful than other chameleons and having a much shorter tail allows it
to be camouflaged as a dead leaf. Males have a stronger pattern of stripes and a higher dorsal crest.
It reaches some 8cm length. It has a few raised scales under its chin giving it the "bearded" name.
