The South Indian or Peninsula Rock Agama is native to rocky terrain in southern India. The adult male, above left, turns bright red or orange/yellow with black in the breeding season. The female, above right, has an intricate, cryptic pattern for camouflage. They can grow to over 30cm long (including tail).
