Maybe it's not a coincidence that PARROT is an anagram of RAPTOR
i-kea
I, Kea
Two parrots have claims to be evolutionary links with falcons and hawks (raptors): New Zealand's Kea,
the only truly Alpine parrot, has hawk-like stripes and parrot colours (red, yellow, turquoise) beneath its camouflage plumage.
Most parrots are vegetarian but Kea also eat carrion and even live prey.

The Greater Vasa of Madagascar is an ancient and unusual parrot with dark brown or grey plumage
and a disproportionately large bill. Like birds of prey, females are much larger and dominant. It is said to hunt and eat meat.
