Two parrots have claims to be evolutionary links with falcons and hawks (raptors): New Zealand's Kea, the only truly Alpine parrot, has hawk-like stripes and parrot colours (red, yellow, turquoise) beneath its camouflage plumage. Most parrots are vegetarian but Kea also eat carrion and even live prey. https://www.animal.photos/bird6/kak-kea.htm

The Greater Vasa of Madagascar is an ancient and unusual parrot with dark brown or grey plumage and a disproportionately large bill. Like birds of prey, females are much larger and dominant. It is said to hunt and eat meat. https://www.animal.photos/bird6/vasa-gtr.htm
