Duck D'Orleans
"The Duck d’Orleans (named after the former royal resident of Orleans House) has become a regular visitor to Orleans House Gallery, Richmond, UK and is gaining quite a following. He arrives early in the morning and sporadically returns throughout the day to his archway perch 30 feet up, where he surveys his new kingdom and quacks contentedly. He still appears to be solo, and so far there has not been any sign of the Duckchess." Thanks to Mark De Novellis for above photo and story.

P.S.: Mark informs us on 21st May that the Duck has met his Duckchess: "The Duck and Duckchess d’Orleans (named after the former residents of Orleans House) have left the roof and have both been spotted leisurely walking around the grounds at Orleans House Gallery, Twickenham. They looked very much at home surveying their new Duckdom. The curious Duckchess walked up the Octagon Room steps to see if she could get in! Over the last few weeks, the Duck and Duckchess have become local celebrities after the Duck claimed the Coach House roof and archway 30 feet off the ground as his new home.
