L-Album Wainscot Moth Mythimna l-album

This Wainscot moth has the cumbersome name of L-album Wainscot because of the white letter "L" marking on each wing. Wingspan 30-35 mm. In the UK, it is present only in the south of England. UK flight time July to October in two generations. Likes damp habitat and overwinters as a caterpillar. Many thanks to Martin Starnes for the photos.
