Rosy-striped Knot-horn Oncocera semirubella

Oncocera semirubella sounds more like a disease than a moth. This beautiful moth is also called the double, double-barrelled name of Rosy-striped Knot-horn and also Rhubarb and Custard. Thanks to Martin Starnes for the photos. The moth, native to Europe including the UK, flies in daytime sunshine as well as at dusk and night. Wingspan variously recorded as 17-29mm and 26-30mm; UK flight time Jun-Aug.
