The Lime Hawk-moth is one of the prettiest hawk-moths in its pink and green livery. The wing pattern is variable.
Despite its large size and the name "hawk-moth", it is docile and harmless.
Like many large moths, it doesn't even feed, living on the food reserves of the caterpillar. Wingspan 55-70mm; UK flight time May-Jun.
