Convolvulus Hawk-moth
The Convolvulus Hawk-moth is native to much of Africa, Southeast Asia and parts of other parts of Asia and far southern Europe. It is also a migrant to much of the rest of Europe, including the UK, and introduced to Australasia. Wingspan 80-120mm; pink and black banded body; UK late summer/autumn migrant. Many thanks to Darren Parsons for the above photo.
