Esperia Sulphurella, also called the Sulphur Tubic moth, is a pretty chocolate brown moth with sulphurous yellow streaks
and yellow hind patch, from where it gets its scientific name.
It also has shining red highlights and amazing orange horns (palps).
Sometimes the yellow flecks along the flank form a dominant line.
White-banded patch on antennae and raised yellow back patch. Caterpillars eat dead wood and debris.
It is found in several European countries. Wingspan 12-16mm; UK flight time Apr-Jun.
