Endotricha flammealis, often called the Rosy Tabby, has a strange resting posture with upturned front and tail. Wingspan 18-23mm; UK flight time Jul-Aug.
This moth was found resting on the ceiling (above) in the day. When returned to the garden it chose a well-camouflaged rose bush (below left) to continue its sleep.
