The Box Tree Moth was introduced in this millenium to UK. The caterpillar is a pest to Box hedges and trees, defoliating them. Wingspan 40-45mm; UK flight May-Sep. Despite its size, the moth is a member of the Crambid (grass moth) family. Thanks to Darren Parsons for the photo in the centre above.
