Unusually for a Tortrix moth, the male of the Light Brown Apple Moth (above) has a totally different appearance to the female (below). The moth was introduced to the UK from Australian apples. Eggs are laid on leaves and fruit of apples and other plants. The larva is a leaf-roller, living in leaves of many types of plant.
