Goats have been domesticated for thousands of years. The Anglo-nubian Goat is descended from ancient Egyptian domestic (Nubian) goats combined with English stock.

The breed has floppy ears hanging down on its cheeks and the billies (males) have horns which are flattened backwards on the head and curved. The nannies don't have horns. (Above right shown with Somali Sheep.)
