The Argali is a wild mountain sheep native to Central Asia. It is the largest of wild sheep species.
There are several subspecies over its range, the one shown being O. a. polii, also called the Marco Polo Argali or Pamir Wild Sheep
and native mainly to the Pamir mountains.

Male Pamir Argali reach 1.2 metres height at the shoulder.
Argali are critically endangered by over-hunting.
