The Greater One-horned Rhinoceros, also called the Indian Rhino, is native to Nepal, Bhutan, Myanmar and some of north-eastern India.
Its natural range has been massively reduced.
In addition to having only the one horn, the thick hide has folds like pimpled armour-plating and looks a loose, baggy fit.
Both adult males and females have the horn.

Like other rhino species, they wallow in mud to protect their skin from the sun.
Love
On a hot day, after a wallow in the mud, I like a cool shower and then to lie down under the shower vapour.
Is this the world's bravest Muntjac Deer?
The rare Lesser One-horned or Javan Rhino looks similar but much smaller (less than 100 in the wild);
the Sumatran Rhino looks like a hybrid of the African and Asian Rhinos, having fairly loose, armoured hide and two horns.
