Zebu are South Asian cattle descended from the Indian aurochs and are one of the oldest breeds of domestic cattle.
(European or "taurine" cattle descended from the European aurochs). They are characterised by a fatty hump on
the shoulder (larger in males/bulls) and a dewlap on the throat. They are the original Indian sacred cattle.
