Dusky Dolphin Lagenorhynchus obscurus

The Dusky Dolphin is native to the far southern oceans, especially around New Zealand (where these were) and around the southern part of South America, but also between there and the African Cape. It is medium-sized, growing to some 1.7-2.0 metres (5.5-6 feet) depending on region/population. They are sociable, vocal and acrobatic.
