The White-faced Saki Monkey is native to north-eastern South America. In Guyana they are called flying monkeys as they leap and glide 10 metres through the trees.
Unusually for primates, the male and female have different markings. Only the male has the full white face and the female has thin white cheek-lines.
They both have long, bushy tails for balance.
They live in small family groups.
