Like all Lorises, the Grey Slender Loris is nocturnal, foraging alone but sleeping by day in family group roosts. It is native to forests of southern India and Sri Lanka but is severely threatened by habitat loss.

They are arboreal. The big eyes assist with night vision. There are 4 regional subspecies and a related species: the Red Slender Loris.
