The Red-shanked Douc Langur is one of three species of Douc Langurs. The Grey-shanked looks similar but with
grey lower back legs but the Black-shanked looks somewhat different.
The Red-shanked is native to Laos, Vietnam and Cambodia. They are arboreal and herbivorous.
They are critically endangered by habitat loss from deforestation for agriculture, oil palm or logging,
and by hunting for consumption, traditional medicine or the pet trade.
