The Black Howler Monkey, also called Black and Gold Howler, is native to rain forests of southern Brazil, northern Argentina, Paraguay and eastern Bolivia. Howler monkeys are fairly large, robust monkeys. Their name comes from their territorial call (a roar rather than howl) which can be heard through forest for some 4 km.
