Smith's Bush Squirrel Paraxerus cepapi

Smith's Bush Squirrel, also called the Yellow-footed Squirrel, is a tree-dwelling squirrel native to southern and southeastern Africa. Coat colour varies (brown, yellowish, reddish, grey, all with pale belly) with several subspecies over the region.

Like squirrels elsewhere, they store seeds and nuts in the ground for hard times - helping to propagate plants and trees (particularly the fruit-bearing, carbon-storing marula tree).
