The pretty Prevost's Squirrel, also called the (Asian) Tri-coloured, is native to Malaysia, Thailand, Borneo and Indonesia.
The subspecies shown is C. p. rafflesii, one of the most colourful. The Borneo subspecies,
C. p. pluto, doesn't have the white flanks.

When eating fruit, they are useful in seed dispersal away from the parent tree.
They have a trill sound when excited and a shrill whistle when calling or alarmed.
