Pere David's Squirrel Sciurotamias davidianus

Pere David's Squirrel, sometimes called the Chinese Rock Squirrel, is a mainly terrestrial squirrel native to rocky terrain of eastern and central China.

Like many squirrels, it buries seeds, nuts and acorns, propagating new trees and bushes from those not later consumed.

An olive-grey with a white underside, it has white eye-rings and a dark patch on its cheeks.
