Pallas's Squirrel, also called the Red-bellied (Tree) Squirrel, is native to much of Southeast Asia (mainly IndoChina).
Most subspecies over its range have a bright red belly, but so do several other squirrels such as Prevost's and the Variegated.
The Sulawesi Giant Squirrel and the Mexican Grey are also called the Red-bellied.
Its protruding eyes give it all round sharp vision.
It will take food up into the trees to eat, helping to disperse fruit seeds.
