Mechow's Mole Rat Fukomys mechowii

Mole Rats have protruding incisors which they use to excavate underground tunnels. Mechow's Mole Rat (also Mole-rat) is native to southern central Africa, typically in savanna shrubland but also other grassland and woodland. They live in underground colonies of up to about 20 individuals and eat roots and tubers.
