The African Pygmy Dormouse, also called African Dwarf Dormouse and Woodland Dormouse, is native to
moist tropical and subtropical mainly wooded or rocky areas of eastern and southern Africa. It has golden or grey-brown upper parts
and pale underparts, with a head/body length of some 7-10cm and the same again for its thick, squirrel-like, bushy tail.
It is nocturnal, arboreal or rock-climbing and an omnivore.
