Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo is native to mountain forests of Papua New Guinea.
They have reddish and yellowish fur with a pale underside.
Tree Kangaroos have adapted to life in trees. They have strong claws and the long tail is for arboreal balance.
They are vegetarian.
Males and females look similar in size and fur colour. Females have a belly pouch.
The tail is banded and patterned and the back has two pale stripes. The underside is pale.
They jump and climb well.
Like most other Tree Kangaroos, they are critically in danger of extinction, mainly through hunting and habitat destruction.
