Coruro Spalacopus cyanus

The Coruro is a rodent native to central Chile. It is related to the Degu. Fur is black, dark charcoal grey or dark brown. The Coruro spends most of its life underground in burrows. Living in colonies, they also feed underground. The two top incisors are elongated to nibble at roots.
