The Arabian Wildcat, also called Gordon's/Oman Wildcat, is mainly a gingery colour but can be greyish, both with darker stripes and spots, providing camouflage in its habitat, and a black-tipped tail. It is native to the Middle East (Arabian Peninsula).

Before 2017, the Arabian Wildcat was classed as a subspecies of the Wildcat, Felis silvestris, native to Europe and Africa. In 2017, the African and Asian subspecies, covering much of Africa, India and western, Middle East and Central Asia through to China, were reassigned as subspecies of F. lybica, the African Wildcat.
