Polar Bears live in the northern polar regions mainly within the Arctic Circle. They have thick, insulating, off-white fur.
The Polar Bear is the largest land-based carnivore, although, as its scientific name indicates, it spends a lot of time in the sea.
Despite their heavy fur, they swim well.
Snowshoes.
With good insulation.
Their main diet is seals, using sea ice to hunt.
With the significant reduction in sea ice caused by a warming climate, the Polar Bear is classed as vulnerable.
