The Giant Panda, usually known just as the Panda, is large black and white bear native to the bamboo forests of a mountainous region of China.
An endangered species, it is a well-known symbol of wildlife conservation.
A rare subspecies, the Sepia or Qinling Panda, has brown on off-white fur.
They lead solitary lives, coming together occasionally to mate.
Although eating mainly bamboo in the wild, which is difficult to digest and get enough energy from making
it a slow, cumbersome animal, the Panda will eat fruit and even meat if it has the chance.
