The Giant Anteater is usually ground-dwelling, unlike its relatives the Lesser and Silky/Pygmy Anteaters.
They can climb, but not well and rarely do so. They can also swim.
Climbing on an artificial termite mound to feed. Giant Anteaters only feed in short bursts and never completely eradicate a termite or ant colony,
so that the colony can rebuild and there will be food tomorrow. They will visit several different colonies per day/night.
