Seychelles Giant Millipede
The Seychelles Giant Millipede, endemic to forest of the Seychelles, is one of the largest millipedes in the world, reaching a length of up to 28cm (11 inches). Its population has fallen sharply as the human population has grown (crushed underfoot and by vehicles at night, planting of non-native plants like bamboo and predation by rats and cats).
