The German Cockroach, also called the Common Cockroach (as is the American), is the most common cockroach worldwide
and survives in cold climates by invading human homes. Despite its name, it is thought to have originated in Africa or Southeast Asia.
It is narrower than most other cockroach species and grows to 1-1.6cm long. It has two parallel dark bars on its pronutum. It looks similar
to the Asian Cockroach but, unlike the Asian, it doesn't fly. It can eat anything organic since its job is to recycle decaying matter.
