The (Green) Banana Cockroach, also called Cuban Cockroach, is native to Caribbean Islands
(including Cuba) and invasive on the US Gulf Coast. It is pale green with a thin yellow border and females grow to 24mm (males to 15mm).
It is nocturnal and is a strong flier.
It lives on plants, bark and leaf litter. It likes soft fruit and sweet leaves but does not invade homes.
Nymphs are dark brown and stay in the soil or in leaf litter.
