Cylindrica Fruit Fly Chaetostomella cylindrica

There are many species of Tephritid Fruit Flies, all with attractive wing markings. All are types of Gall Fly, laying their eggs in plants for their larvae to eat. The fly shown here is called Chaetostomella cylindrica and she appears to be laying eggs in the plant head.
